Fans in India tend to go overboard with their love for celebrities. One such example is a fan of actor Sanjay Dutt who left all her wealth for him after her death.
A Mumbai based fan Nishi Harishchandra Tripathi, left a detailed letter which included valuables and a nomination form to the Bank of Baroda's Walkeshwar branch to the name of Sanjay Dutt. Her family was unaware of this will and only found out after her death once the attorney informed them.
Although it was a loving gesture, Sanjay Dutt refused to claim any of her money. Sanjay Dutt's attorney said, "We have communicated that Sanjay Dutt will be seeking no claim on the belongings and will adhere to any legal proceedings necessary to transfer the valuables back to the family".
Sanjay Dutt was extremely overwhelmed by this gesture and he reportedly said, "As actors, we are used to fans naming their children after us, chasing us down the street and even giving us gifts. But this has shocked me. I will not be claiming anything. I did not know Nishi and I am very overwhelmed by the entire incident to speak about it".
An incident like this is the first of its kind and has shocked people all over. What do you have to say about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
