After a successful year Taapsee Pannu is back with another powerful role. She plays the role of 'Harpreet' in her upcoming film ‘Soorma’ which is based on the life of the hockey player Sandeep Singh. She even put out a tweet for the same and we're a little excited for the details. Read on for details.
The movie is directed by Shaad Ali and stars Diljit Dosanjh as the male lead. The narrative of the movie is based on the inspiring story of the famous Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh who was restricted to a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gunshot in 2006 which left him paralysed. However, Singh fought his fate and found his way back to the International Hockey in the year 2008. He drove the Indian team to victory under his captaincy and won the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup for his country and even went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.
Taapsee started prepping up for this role soon after ‘Judwa 2’ and has undergone intense training sessions for her role in the movie. Some reports in fact convey that she was trained by the phenomenal Sandeep Singh himself.
After her performance in Pink and Naam Shabana, we are eager to see her in another power packed role. Are you?
